I know this has been done before, but hummer me! How does one go about converting a 84 Shelby Charger n/a to turbo? Can i splice in a complete 85-87 l-body turbo wiring harrness??

It's not THAT much work, and it's been done before. Yes, you'd want to swap the wiring over. Get wiring diagrams for your car, and for a turbo car, attain zen with them. ;) If I had a carb'd L-Body still, I'd be in the middle of a conversion. :)

i just converted my 88 horizon to turbo 2. it was a little easier because of the existing fuel pump wiring/lines, but if you are going as far as to swap a motor and wiring harness, a few more wires is nothing to discourage you. i took wiring diagrams from my n/a horizon, and wiring diagrams from an 88 daytona with the t2 wiring i got the harness from. i cut off the necessary wiring plugs/connectors, and spliced/added the rest. it took about 2 half days to rewire the car.
