Ok... Here's the deal. On a recently acquired car, I replaced cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and coil. I am still burning RICH on idle and low end (stoich says so and you can smell it). The engine starts stumbling on soft acceleration @ 1500 rpm. It keeps stumbling until boost kicks in. Any suggestions?? Is my distributor going bad?

'84 laser with '89 daytona 2.5
Mitsu turbo w/ 10 lbs-22lbs of boost (controller inside car)
intercooled w/ 5th injector (unplugged at moment to diagnose problem)
Heads freshly rebuilt
I don't know much else about it yet.

thanx

turn the ignition on-off-on-off-on-off and the c heck engine light will blink. Do a search and you should be able to find a list of what the codes are (or just tell us and we can find out)

Code 51 indicates the 02 sensor is not working correct.. To protect the engine, the car's limp in mode is to set it rich...

Install a new 02
