The purpose of this thread is to show what is to expect when installing the Deatschwerks DW200 fuel pump in a pre 90's Turbo Mopar.

$99 gets you the DW200 pump with the filter kit of your choice, you can buy it directly off Deatschwerks' website, avoiding counterfeit parts. Another $15 or so for shipping.

Note: the Deatschwerks website does not have a large selection of install kits like Walbro's vendeor does!!

DW200 flows close and sometimes out flow a Walbro! Deatschwerks also have bigger DW65 and DW300 pumps, I believe DW200 and DW300 have the same physical dimension, while DW65 is smaller.

Externally, the DW200 have the same physical dimension as a Walbro GSS342, ie. height, width, wire connector, inlet for fuel, etc. All the parts that work with GSS342 will work with DW200.

Left stock replacement BOSCH pump
Right Walbro GSS340 pump

My 9-0846 filter package came a filter, filter retainer, 3 inch hose (not long enough for any turbo mopar use), two hose clamps (do NOT use them, use proper fuel injection hose clamps instead!!)

I had Walbro parts, so L body install is pretty straight forward for me.

You need the below parts for a L body install.

1. 9-0846 filter package from Deatschwerks has the correct angled filter you'd want.
2. Thin foam sleeve from Auto Performance Engineering - Walbro fuel pumps and more
3. Zip tie
4. Fuel injection hose clamps
5. 6 inches of 30R10 fuel hose (Napa sells them by the feet)
6. O-ring for the hanger (may or may not need)

Directions (this is not meant to be a step by step, just a general guide line)

1. Remove old fuel pump from hanger.
2. Using a Dremel, bore out the plastic ring that surrounds the fuel pump.
3. Install foam sleeve onto the pump and push it up against the plastic ring with extreme care!
4. Rotate the pump so when it is installed inside the tank, the filter is facing the bottom of the tank.
3. Zip tie the foam sleeve, put in the hose, clamps, wire connector, etc.

This is how it should look when you finish installing it.

Stock replacement BOSCH and Deatschwerks pump share the same style of inlet. For a bolt-on install with the non-L body hanger, you need BOSCH Part # 68028 for the sock filter and the cap. Get ONLY the BOSCH Part # 68028. Any other kit from a different make might has a different style cap! I know for sure Walbro has a different cap.

You need the below parts for a non L body install.

1. BOSCH Part # 68028 for filter and end cap (rockauto has it)
2.Thick foam sleeve from Auto Performance Engineering - Walbro fuel pumps and more
3. Zip ties (might or might not needed. My stock plastic clamp was gone, I had to use zip tie)

2. Install foam sleeve onto the pump.
3. Put the cap into the hanger, o-ring into the pump inlet, and the pump into the hanger.
4. Zip tie the pump, put in the hose, clamps, wire connector, etc.

This is how it should look when you finish installing it.

(I moved the zip tie ends up so it can't rub against the fuel inside the tank)

Impression of DW200. Quiet!!!! I can't hear it run!

To sum up
Pros:

Super quiet
3 years no fault warranty!!!

You can buy it directly off their website to avoid buying counterfeit part!

Cons:
Lack of accessories parts on Deatschwerks' website.

looks good. I've been looking at the DW400 for my Challenger lately. Wish these pumps also came inline.
