I got a bad injector in my Shelby Lancer....

The injector is stuck open, flooding the number 1 cylinder, I put a noid tester on there and it showes that it is pulsing, but the number 1 cylinder is still super ubber wet with raw fuel.

All i have right now are Brand new +20s or some old T1 injectors.

any one? Can I run the +20s on my brand new motor with about 2hrs on it at the stock psi?

on my stock CSX i ran +20's with stock fuel regulator with no problems, it will be just slightly rich but not smoking out the tailpipe or soaking the plugs, make sure you run stock plugs and up the timing to 14 degrees, later Mike

p.s. see ya Saturday

So I should run a hotter plug than i am now? I think I got one step colder than stock of NGKs.

I guess I will go down to the shop later pull the valve cover (that leakes) and take the fuel rail off and install them + 20s.

Man, If its not somthing.....its somthing else. It starts to run normal then I get a dead cylinder.....errr

I think i'll run about 100miles on it at the low boost seting i got on it now, I think im runing like 5psi.....somthing realy low like that because she is still a dog.

Thanks
Chris

Stock MP with 20+ injectors @ 55PSI is WAY too much fuel. My car killed the O2 and ran like ****. Also factor in the fuel wasted. I was running the pressure at 45-ish PSI and had no problems. Touched 22 PSI on the highway run, everything was green.

Well it was not the injector....I pulled the valve cover, and found a rocker off on the side.....wtf, SO i did not have an exhaust valve....or what ever the send valve is on number 1.

Got that back on....ran like a champ, Put 100miles on her, then set the boost at about 14-15psi. She ran good.

Come back to the shop...check things over...

The cam seal on the timming belt side is leaking a bit, getting oil every where. And the Fuel Rail leaks

So i gotta get the fuel rail fixed...its a 2pc and it leaks by the compression fittings, not on the reg, but on the return line? Looks liek some one has tried to fix it before.

Owell, I guess for a comples rebuild its doing ok.

-Leaking Water Pump (guess i did not do a good job putting new water pump on)

-Leaking Cam seal (I dont know about that one, but the cam seal on the other side would not fit in snug, so i had to use one of those cap things)

-And I gotta get a new fuel rail, or fix this one, Crap....that sucks

The fuel rail on my Shelby Lancer has broken twice at the inlet tube/rail joint. I took it to a radiator shop and they silver soldered it up and it's been great for a few years now.
