No...it means the logic module is not seeing a crank signal from the
HEP(hall effect pickup)in the distributor.
The ASD is actuated for 1 second with initial key on to pressurize the fuel rail.
The ASD will not be actuated again until a crank signal is seen by the engine controller.
Grounding the DB/YL wire in the diag connector only confirms that the ASD circuit is ok, now you need to diagnose the
HEP crank reference signal circuit.
The
HEP is a common failure item as well as problems with the connectors(loose, dirty, corroded).
If you replace the
HEP do not place any sharp bends in the wiring as the factory had it or you will damage the wiring.
PM being sent with Code 11 diagnostics.
