I've been trying to find informationa bout the 2.2/2.5 ECU. My 87 turbo sundance is currently converted to 87 turbo electronics from it's original TBI electronics. I've also switched from auto to a 520 5spd. Anyway, the 87 turbo 1 in the car right now is pretty high mileage and and I have a feeling she's going to blow this race season. It's not very fast but still fun. I have a 1989 2.5 turbo 1 the I'm rebuilding for the car at the moment. I plan to intercool the 2.5 and turn up the boost to around 20psi. MY problem is that I dont know how to make the 87 ECU run the 2.5. I've been told that the 2.2 ECU will run the 2.5 with 33 lb/r injectors but I'm skeptical. If I have to I'll upgrade my car to 89 or newer electonics but I was hoping to avoid any major rewiring as I just rewired it for turbo electronics last summer. Any thought would be greatly appreciated/

check out www.thedodgegarage.com.... there are some tips about this.

also i stole this from another thread from ken (slightly edited for spelling lol)

"Run 42's with Slightly lower base (the car will run fine at 55psi base).

It's always better to have the right calibration. If you run the mp computer, set your base timing at 8^ NOT 12^. The 2.5's do NOT like the more aggressive spark curve of the 2.2L computer."

good luck

Ken's right. I run the +20%(42 pph) injectors on my 2.5 with 2.2(GLHS) electronics. It runs just fine but runs out of fuel about 13 psi, though that could be because of several things. I am running 55 psi base fuel pressure and it hasn't been too rich to get it started even on the really cold days this winter, 0^F. You won't be dissapointed with that combo.

Thanks for the replies guys. Anyone have ady good ideas using the stock 2.5 turo 1 33 lb/hr injectors that I have sitting at home. I'd liek avoid buying more injectors right now. Then add more fuel using Saab cold start injectors with pressure switches. Or wou'd a stage 5 computer from fwd be a better idea?

I'm currently running the 87 2.2 t2 electronics with my new 2.5. Stock injectors and fuel pressure. I'm going to get the stage 5 from FWD perf and get them to calibrate it for the 2.5. WIth the stage 5 you will need +40's, 3 bar map and perhaps an Adj FPR for fine tuning. Can't wait to have the calibration in there and then drive it hard.
