Hi guys. I know this is not a turbo but maybe you can answer my question. I just istalled a manual choke on my carb and took it for a spin around my neighborhood. when i was turning around in my driveway, it just died. after it died, i saw smoke come out from under the hood on the drivers side of the car. tryed to start it. nothing happeded. tried to pop the clutch with key on, nothing. I pop the hood and see that the hot wire that was hooked up to the electric choke was touching the transmission. So i guess i shorted it out. This hot wire is spliced into the main harness. I smell something burning around the power module and i see a burned wire. so i connect it back togeather and still nothing happenes. What could be the problem. Could it be the power module? Or the starter solenoid? Hope you can help me. Thanks.

P.S. Most of my accessories work. The only things that doesnt work is my stereo and the starter switch. My headlights, vent controls, and dash lights all work fine. Just when you turn the key, tach donesnt reset and nothing happenes.
