I converted carb omni to turbo 1, wiring was to put it bluntly fun, took 86 daytona harness and stripped out all the body wiring (lights horns etc) plus stripped out gauges, i took my omni and stripped out all the ESA system wires which only had about 3 going to bulkhead connector, once all harnesses were stripped, there was only about 6 wires that needed to be connected to bulkhead, and those 6 were removed from the ESA system, so just changed over to the bigger pin and snapped them into the bulkhead, made my own starter relay though so i didn't have to mess with any neutral saftey switches, (my EFI harness was auto, my car was stick). It prolly took 20 hours to do a very very profession job all soldered and glueshrinked. plus i used logicmodule/powermodule setup. it is doable, just needs lots of diagrams so you can figure out what you can actually take out instead of just leaving tons of wires unhooked.

so 50 wires and 60 min. cut both ends, mate up, solder and heat shrink all at about a connection a minute + all the other accesories (lights, etc.)
unless you take speed or meth, that would be kinda hard

40 wires, brain sturgeon. 40 pin bulkhead connector on an L body, and even then, not all 40 pins are in use. Probably 30 at most.

I assume you didn't mean me, as I was simply replying to his accusation. He accused me of using drugs, and I feel my reply was very very civilized, considering.

i am not accussing you of using drugs, i'm just saying it is damn near impossible to convert an omni harness to '89 electronics in a hour unless somebody is hyped up on something- maybe even alot of coffee?

Hehe, I switched to Mt. Dew when I quit smoking cigarettes. Was actually cheaper to drink 12 cans a day than it was to smoke a pack a day.. Anyways, kinda off topic.. 30 connections, 1 hour, 2 minutes per connection. As I recall, it may have been more like an hour and a half. But that was only the time spent doing the soldering and such. The hunting for bulkhead pinouts took me about a month. People kept emailing me '88 N/A minivan diagrams.. Just different enough to make me want the real McCoy.
