help! installing gauges

is there a diagram or source that can tell/show me all the switched 12V wires in the dash area of my daytona? Reason i ask is because im installing an A/F and a Boost gauge but i dont know what wires to tap into. I also dont want to take apart the centre console

secondly i would like to have my boost gauge to light up only when i want it to

Constant 12V+ ---Red ---Ignition Switch Harness
Ignition ---Dark Blue ---Ignition Switch Harness
Accessory ---Black/Orange ---Ignition Switch Harness

At the radio:

Constant 12V+ ---Red
Switched 12V+ ---Red/White
Ground ---Black

If you're drawing from them... relay it, ESPECIALLY acc+ or ign+

ive heard of people hooking the boost gauge up to the lights so the LED only comes on when you need it to. Anyone done this before?

one thing i wanna avoid is taking off the centre section since it is all pastic it may start rattling

both my boost gauge and tach are hooked up to the lights, so when the lights come on, so do the lights on those gauges
it's pretty cool looking
i would just prefer to splice into the wiring, not just run the wires to the fuse box

what i ment to say gerber1125 was what wire on the back of the light assemby did you splice into to get the boost gauge to light up only when the lights are on?

i just ran the switched 12v from gauges to the fuse box, to one of the lights fuse i think
works fine for me

hows about your ash tray backlighting? its right there and seriously...if you smoke (like me) you know its easier to flcik ashes out the car instead of cleaning an ashtay

When I hooked up my gauges I used the radio power and illumination lines.

quick question... is the radio wiring of my '88 daytona the same as a '90 Shadow?? Is the red wire with white stripe the power supply for this car as well?
