Guys or gals could someone send me the "how to" schematics for installing a Stage 5 cal. in my GLH now GLHS(3bar map ect ect..). I had it all wired into my GLH Omni but took it out 1yr ago and alas I cannot find the info AARRRGGG....Also it would seem that the Stage5 from FWD Perfomance still has the cold idle bug(and I thought it was me!!)
Cal worked GREAT when warmed up though

Cold idle is still an issue for sure. Idle can be an issue at times even when warm, at least on my car. I also get detonation over about 15 psi. Seems it's calibrated for like 100 octane gas. If you don't have forged pistons becareful not to detonate.

from what i believe cindy was offering free fixes for them. i bought one from her a cuple years ago. sadly i never took advantage of that offer

it's really hit and miss with the older style s5. i had it on 3 cars and a total of 5 differnt motors. it worked perfect on 3 of the motors, but the others it didnt cold idel all to well. but when they warmed up, DAMN... just amazing!

good gas milage to. i was running a 2.2l S5 cal on my 2.5l and i was getting amazing gas milage.

Cold start is rough for mine too. What I've noticed is that turning the key to the on position, FP cycles, then waiting about 10-15 sec before hitting the starter seems to help.
Once it's warmed up I've got no complaints.

yeah, the poor idle is definatly due to lack of fuel, i have a wideband, and when my s5 surges at cold start you can see the wideband go off the scale lean, then when it picks up again you can see fuel is being added because you get a fuel reading. i took some videos of it doing this if anyone is interested

Is it due to the O2 sensor being cold? Would a 3 or 4 wire O2 help this.

yeah mine has an updated code as well, it was an improvment, but only slight. i also have a 4 wire o2 sensor. here is what i have replaced over the past few years parts wise and has had no effect on the performnace of the calibration cold start
o2 sensor
speed sensor
map sensor
injectors
HEP sensor
new socketed board/different fwd s5 chips
rebuilt head
throttle body
ais
tps
Plugs
Wires
Cap
Rotor
coil
redid the vaccum lines to the charcoal canister (also bypassed them to see if that was the problem)
adjusted throttle
Gone from 60psi static fuel pressure all the way down to 40psi static

Nothing has made a difference and it started fine on a stock and a mopar cal....

I would just like to add that when i have contacted cindy in the past she has been more than helpful the reason I am posting here is to see if anyone else has a mechanical solution or if the problem really is something with the calbration

ANd thats the price you pay for high performance. A little driveability for better performance.
Basically have to ask yourself, is a little rough idling in the morning worth the kick in the ass I get when its warmed up and running top notch?
