I bought a Walbro 255 fuel pump that I plan on intalling in my R/T. I heard the SRT-4 pump will fit so I bought one from someone on SRTforums for 80 bucks but it appears to missing some pieces to the kit. It came with the pump, filter, a tiny washer, about 4 inches of fuel hose, and 2 clamps. Then when I looked at FWDperformances website I notice that there is a lot more to the kit as shown in this picture:

From what I can tell I am missing that little blue round thing, the wires, the white plastic barb on the top of the pump, and the white thing on the bottom of the pump with the screen on it. I have never replaced a fuel pump before so I don't know if these pieces can be taken off my stock pump and used on the Walbro or if I need to get these specific pieces. I should have just bought it through Cindy in the first place but I didn't know she caried them.

Thanks,
Ryan

If you bought the correct pump, you would have gotten all the same pieces as shown in our kit. If you want, you can call me on monday and tell me the part number on your pump, and see if it is truly the correct 255 pump for the Neon.
Our price is $110 I think, and you get everything you need, plus if you have any issues in the future, you know where to come for a remedy. Sometimes ebay has good deals, but you will not get the service if the parts are wrong or break and you are not helping support the vendors that help support our hobby. Don't mean to get on my soap box, but.......
Later,
Cindy

Do I need all those pieces though, or can I use the parts off my stock pump. Is there away to get everything but the pump? I would have ordered one from you but didn't even know you carried a pump for the R/T, until I saw it on your website today.

Thanks,
Ryan

Well, that doesn't look anything like the one for the neon which is a substitute for the R/T pumps. Also the part # on the install kit is different that what our cars use. Do you actually have the pump in your hand? If so what part # does it have? I'm not saying that kit wouldn't work, but i can tell that the one we sell is the drop in kit for the SRT-4 and Neons and I installed in my SRT and that it is the one you would want to use in a r/t for minimal fabrication.

Cindy

Thats not the exact kit I have in the picture but that is generally what it looks like.

No I don't have the pump here, I am 2 hours away at school and won't be able to get to it until next Friday.

Well, i wouldn't worry too much. That kit looks a lot like the 255 pump used on the mustangs and similar to the 255 we use for the early TD's. With a little creativity I'm sure you can make it work out.later,Cindy

I want the drop in one, I will get the part number off the pump and and try and find out what its for and sell it and then buy the one off you, since I know you carry the right one.

Thanks,
Ryan
