I have a rich condition that I'm sorta stumped with. I put the diagnostic scanner on the car and I'm reading .92-1.02 volts when the motor is warm. It mostly stays under .96v. And it doesn't really cycle like it's supposed to. I'll powerbrake just to get into boost, and I am blowing black smoke out the exhaust. To me, that confirms my rich condition. I had a look at the adapt factor and it's at 0.00%. The only changes to the car is that I installed a 255lph HP pump and a graninger.

Oh yea, one more thing to add. I've also noticed that the ignition module advance is only 1* when in park and neutral. Then it jumps to 10* when a gear is selected.

What exactly am I missing here? I can't seem to make headway on this car.

Maybe this is why I'm not able to get into boost as fast as it did before with the TE04H? It really seems to have lost it's spooling capability on this 2.5L motor.

Any advise is welcomed.

Wink

Also what injectors/setup? Better yet just say your complete setup.

everything is stock with the exception of the pump and the graninger. Stock regulator, 33# injectors, stock exhast, etc. I even kept the 14" wheels.

lol

Well then apparently the walbro did something. Maybe you're regulator can't flow enough on the return side to keep it at 55 PSI. Try either replacing the stock regulator or find an adjustable one to install and turn it down to 50 PSI to start.

wouldn't the PCM dial down the pulsewidth some and change my fuel adapt factor % if it was reading rich all the time?

It should compensate at part throttle(unless it too much), WOT it has preset tables to add fuel and doesn't read the O2 sensor at all.

it should, but I'm still reading .92-.96volts on the O2 sensor at idle. It will go up to .98-1.02 volts when on boost or closed loop.

No codes. I erased the codes and ran the motor for about 30 minutes to figure this out. After the run, I checked for codes again and didn't get any but the 12/55

Most of the time bad O2's don't throw codes though, I was just curious.

Which vehicle is this for? Looks like all of them should have a 4 wire though right? With only 3000 it shouldn't be bad but you never know, it's possible to get a defective one. Can you possibly swap another one in temporarily?

Wouldn't that turn on the fan though? Or make the fan not work at all?
