Paul at TU tells me their 3 bar logic modules for the GLHS car are ready to go, but the buyer must take care of a new 3 bar MAP sensor installation.

Has anyone installed one of these TU LM's in their GLHS and if so can you post pix of the 3 bar MAP sensor installation? thanks.

just use a GM syle 3 bar map sensor from Summit Racing. You'll need a connector as well since the stock Chrysler connector will not work on the GM sensor.

Yes it will, you just have to cut out a bit of the connector, you'll be able to see what I mean when you look at the connector and sensor.

Damnit. You're right. I was thinking of the map sensor connector on the 3.0L for some damn reason. Man, I need to keep the different motors better seperated in my mind. Cause it's statements like this that make me look more ignorant that I really am. LOL If that's possible.

i dont think the glhs cars use the grey connector shown in the link above.

i was hoping to view a glhs-specific install, remembering the cars use a logic module and a power module, not a SMEC like the later turbo cars.

thanks for link, but i still cant picture how the heck to install the MAP sensor to the LM.

Do you know where your stock map sensor is? If so, and if the connector won't fit into the 3 bar map you purchase; then just get a 3 pin weather tight connector and splice into the original map sensor wires.

with a GLHS you'll have to install an underhood map, or mount the 3bar near the LM in the car...

I had a pigtail from a map sensor that I plugged into the LM, then ran the connector from there, through the hole for the vac tube that was through the firewall grommett.

Then, I wrapped the wiring, put it in conduit, mounted the underhood map on the inner fender, hooked up the baro solenoid, ran a new vac line, and presto - underhood map. Much cleaner, easier, and better throttle response too.

This was on my charger btw.

No worries, we all make mistakes.
Now Marcus has me wondering, haven't seen an Omni Map in ages so can't remember what the connector looks like now, doh!

its 3 wires (duh) flat, and it connects on the MAP sensor (mounted on the LM), and a vac line goes into the LM (onto the map). When I bought a used LM from an '86 lebaron years ago it had a pigtail and a 'cover' (gutted stock MAP). So I ran an underhood map with it.

That connector in the picture at the bottom of that page is what you need. The connector for the internal MAP is a different shape and that's why it needs to be changed to use the 3 BAR.

What I was saying in that PM a while back is if you can get a connector with a length of wire from a yard I'll solder it in for you since we haven't been able to get anywhere on developing the jumper harness.

CHRIS can you snap a pix of this mod from one of your customer cars? once i feel confident i can accomplish the MAP swap i can then order one of your calibrations, thanks.
