I recently dropped the fuel tank in my 86 Omni GLH and it had been sitting for a couple of years so the tank was pretty rusty as well as the sending unit. I was wondering if I cleaned it up real good w/ a wire brush or something could I reuse it? If not were do I locate one of these ?(I tried a parts store)

Thanks

The sending unit is probably reusable as long as you get the loose stuff off. Be careful not to damage the wirewound resistor in the plastic shell. It's kind of delicate.

I had bought a new sender several years ago. It was a dealer part.

I cleaned it up pretty good but was wondering what is the best way to clean the inside of the lines?

Thanks
