I was told about my BCM and looked where I was told and sure enough there is a small module on the right hand side of the car. What is the purpose of this module and could it be a source of problem when switching computers out?

My car is a 90 Daytona Shelby 2.5L auto.

Would it have anything to do with swapping out computers under the hood and
shutting down the car after 2 seconds?

are they matched to the computer under the hood?

are they a matching pair that works together?

if your car has the security system and you unplug your enging comp and switch em its been said that it takes like 30 cranks before it will let the new one work. search for stuff on the factory alarm and read up, i bet your problem lies within.
