Gone thru and searched, seems 10-30% volume is the way to go. I want the max octane so I have 94 base, mix 5 gallons of gas and 30% would be, 1.5L's of Toluene, then how much transmission oil and how much methyl hydrate-BTW, what is that for??? Is that correct?

Thanks guys, don't want to blow my engine up, 2 gallons of race fuel for me is $40,

I generally run a quart of toluene or xylene and 2 oz. of trans fluid and 4 oz. of mineral spirits with 4-5 gallons of gas . I keep the mix in a one gallon can and add to $10 of gas (currently $2.29/gal. for premium ) right near empty . Have fun , I don't speak metric .

Thanks, so what does that work out too, is that the 30% mix?

Why use mineral spirits?

rubbing alcohol = isopropyl alcohol
regular mineral spirits = paint thinner
odorless mineral spirits = parts cleaning solvent & bar-b-que charcoal lighter fluid

Mineral spirits like in a parts washer . Makes your hands all tingly . It's similar to naptha , which is a suitable replacement . I usually get the toluene (or xylene whichever is cheaper that week ) and some mineral spirits at the paint store at the same time.
The toluene (or xylene ) is for octane , the mineral spirits are the cleaner , and the dexron is a lubricant .

Thanks guys, almost have it figured out. Seems to be confusion on if Toluene is a dry fuel. Some say to run some MMO or tranny oil, some don't??????????

I ran a little toulene in the van and ran a 13.4 on 20 psi, seemed to give it a little bit more resistance to detonation. I ran 2 gallons straight with 5 gallons of 91.

What is the tranny fluid for? I thought that was oil! Wouldn't that cause detonation?

It lubricates the injectors . It's too small an amount to cause detonation .
