Why? we dont' need to run two filters unless your lazy and don't change your filters often enough, lol! I doubt theres much pressure drop thru the filter. Have you done any testing, I would be curious to know?
If your that concerned, buy a System 1 fuel filter. I just got one for my van off Ebay, reusable, cleanable, 30 microns and mega flow,

interesting question is...Say a stock pump maxes out at 90PSI. If you're restricting the reg to 50psi, the return side should in theory have 40psi?
Where I'm going with this is if you tune your rail PSI down, your return PSI goes up because the Reg bleeds off excess pressure.

You're return pressure should be less than 5psi due to there being no restriction in the return line. Of course unless the line itself offers a restriction.

using 72psi injectors on a 3bar cal calibated for +40ś could help maintain low fuel presures...afpr old school/???? i say nice
