For people running alky/water setups what do you have your pump pressure set to? I have the base kit from devilsown and he said it comes set to the lowest seting(80psi) but can go up to 200psi if I remember right.

I've run my devilsown kit with the pressure cranked when racing, but usually at about 1/2 way. LOL I think I should put a guage on there for next summer.

A full pressure I'm pretty sure I was getting too much meth and it wasn't helping anymore for the boost/power level I was running at (only 13psi and around 215whp). With an M10 nozzle that is.

I'm looking forward to playing with the kit on the dyno using my setup's full potential (~275whp) to see what works the best. I'll probably just go full pressure and adjust other stuff though

Here's some new info on pump pressure you should read. We've done alot of bench testing on it in the last month.

DVLDOC-

For what its worth, I tested my Shurflo pump on the dyno with twin nozzles (M10 and M15) spraying methanol. The pump used -6AN inlet hose and a -4AN outlet hose. The short outlet hose went through a solenoid, then a -4AN Y fitting and into two short sections of -4AN hose which went to each of the nozzles. It hit 170 psi with the pressure switch turned all the way up. I have a video of it somewhere. I dont knwo the exact flow rate (it theoretically calculated to something around 230 lb/hr if memory serves), but it was enough to support an additional 150+ whp on a Dynojet.

Do you have a rule of thumb for hp per lb/hr of methanol?

I'm using a 100psi Shur-flow pump, but I haven't hooked up a gage to it, as of yet, to verify that I'm getting 100 psi. I guess thats one more gage I need to add...

Gages: boost psi, EGT, AFR, Fuel psi, alky psi....

sorry if this is off topic but it is sort of related. if you pressurized the water/alcohol container with boost from the IC pipes, would it raise the max output pressure of the pump?
