probably not the best way to do it, in fact for performance its not a good idea at all since you'll likely max out your injectors. Looks like it just adds the neccessary pulsewidth to your stock injection pulses. Kinda cool if you've gotta car you'd like to try to setup on alky but don't want to tune it.

It is around here, for the past month or two. It's widely available (except in my god damned state) and sounds like it may allow for a helluvalot of boost on "pump gas"..

E85 is equivalent to 104-106 octane and much cheaper. It runs well in high compression/boosted engines. the problem is, when you let it sit in the tank too long, the water (from condensation) seperates the gas and the ethenol and leaves water undispersed. Which will inevitably lead to a locked up motor, aka hydrolock. There are a few federal sites that compare the E85 with other fuels. All you need to do to convert it is to put special rubber fuel lines in, or the ethenol will eat the reg fuel line super fast.

Problem is E85 doesnt make as much power as gasoline and you also lose 10-15 percent in fuel economy.

You can spray straight water into a engine through the injectors and all it will do is not fire and get pushed on out. It takes alot more water/liquid to hydrolock a engine.

This misinformation is one of the reasons ethanol has taken so long to take off. Water will not mix with gasoline, water will mix with ethanol. Adding ethanol will actually keep water out of your system.
And no, E85 won't eat up rubber fuel lines. It is corrosive and will affect steel, that's why the flex fuel vehicles use a lot of stainless steel.
