interesting. im not saying it cant be done, im just trying to say that FFV cars, new and old, use stainless steel fuel system parts and difforent seals for a reason, so they must know somthing. as far as injecting alcohol as an octane booster, you could prevent preaty well all of your "alcohol drying stuff out" problems by mixing it 50/50 with water......... water, the essence of moisture, moisture, the essence of wetness

All of the Chrysler (and Ford) FFV vehicles I've seen have a badge on them somewhere that says FFV. Usually it's on the fender where our "turbo" badging would be. I was reading somewhere that the 4 cylinder FFV vehicle's engine looks similar to the turbo MPI on first glance. Is that true? I honestly never gave the cars a second thought until I started researching methanol injection. I'd always heard the FFV systems were a pain in the butt to maintain and repair.

^its true that there a nightmare to fix and parts stores will almost tell you the car dosnt exist. the engine bay could be mistaken for a T1 at first glance.

Why don't you guys just use the spray nozzles available from McMaster-Carr, instead of an injector you have to worry abour failing. The spray nozzle has no moving parts and has no problems with alcohol. That's what is used in many of the "high priced" kits. They only cost a few bucks, I think mine were about $4.

like ive said though, mix the alcohol with water and all your parts will last alot longer.
my set up's already built and proving itself up to 31psi on pump gas, thats why IM not going to change anything, but a simple spray tip would be somthing to look into if i were doing it again.

FFV vehicles also use stainless steel fuel rail and lines. so one could run E-85 in a regular engine, but not for an extended period of time, like wise, on an easy home made alcohol injection system, plan on replacing the injector/s and pump over time if not from an FFV car.

Ethanol is not methanol,The misinformation floating around tends to marry the properties of the two. The factory ffv's (what a joke) are overbuilt for ethanol and undertuned to take advantage of it. Methanol is the corrosive stuff, and is what drag cars use (top alcohol dragster, etc) Ethanol is friggin' moonshine and won't hurt a thing. It has been used with wild sucess for years.(they did not have any ""ffv's'' in the thirties when bootleggers were runnin' shine in more ways than one. We have been running it in several vehicles for some time now, with no problems,(we did change the fuel filter on the oldest car)and the csx is up to 20 lbs. on it.(it's mostly stock).

Can some one highlight a set up with pics? I wouldn't mind running a homemade kit on my car!
I have access to free salvage yard parts so thats not an issue at all!
I just wanna know what I need.
I have heard a couple thing. Prolly use a washer bottle off of a car, lines(stainless steel???), pump (what pump and how do you control the pressure), how to hook everything up (lines go in how???pump wired to switch but where in the cylce is the pumped hooked up???) injector or nozzle of some sort???) etc. Confused but interested person =)

Thanks but i was lookng for a lil a more detail.
I am a noob to the meth cycle and basic engineering (being 16 has its diadvantages). I am usually pretty creative and have the drive to do it I just need a push. What type of lift pump? Can't I run direct power to the pump with a switch when I decide to play? Do I gravity feed the pump from a resevoir and that pressurizeses the meth mix to the intercooler hose? Meth injecter will go before the tb correct? what stainliess line should I get. I am kinda visual so pics help or diagrams. Any help is appreciated!
