Also. Do u just loosen the distributor hold down bolt n turn the distributor clockwise to retard the timing?

FUNATIC checking in...

86GSiGUY - Thanks for the well written easy to understand explanation of how timing corresponds to AFR and detonation. I finally really understand!

Had a good talk yesterday afternoon with Rodney from Alcohol Injection Systems. Take a look at their web site information:

The Best Water injection system and water methanol injection systems at AlcoholInjectionSystems.com

They are a truly high quality company and Rodney is a very well informed and experienced "horses mouth" h20/meth injection information source.

Talking with him put many of my [our] h20/meth injection questions to rest.

Their trunk mounted set ups are really nice, ready to go pre assembled and are pre tested. I will probably buy one of their Stage I kits without a tank and rig up my own holding tank arrangement.

The other $ for $ good deal that I have found is this:

Water Injection, Methanol Injection, Alcohol Injection Systems: Coolingmist

Their Stage I system with a 150 psi pump is on sale for only $229.99 and includes a free 1 1/2 gallon nice looking trunk mounted tank. Pretty tempting set up...

Thanks again everyone for the good information. I will post photos and more when FUNATIC has a new water/meth injection system!

NP funatic.

**Interesting update; I did most of my tuning/testing while the weather was still cool here.
Yesterday I decided to clean and check the h2o system. Cleaned the injector and check valve, checked the lines, tested the pump, etc. Since it's warmer now I was playing with the settings. I set the 2gph to flow at 2psi. I measured the voltage to the pump at 13.5V with the pressure turned up to 250psi. So that's nearly 270psi at the pump outlet. disregarding pipeline friction that's almost 4gph at the injector itself. When it hit at 2psi part throttle the car ate it up happily. Temps were roughly 85'F humidity 60% give or take at nearly sea level. I was amazed. Just over 3k and 2psi on my log doesn't equate to much hp especially at part throttle. By my math that's conservatively 60% fluid injection to fuel and it didn't bog a bit but rather picked up steadily. I'm friggin confused, either there's a huge pressure loss between the pump and injector or the car wants a ton more fluid...
