I can run without it.
just about, tested back to back at work, stock and then alky injected with a few more lbs.

WOW! Thanks for posting that. Can you give some more specifics about the car and boost levels?

My last cheap $$ mod was to replace the downpipe (2 1/4") with one off an '89 model. (2 1/2") Also removed the cat. It put the old '86 log intake/A413 car into the high 14s.

Be careful here guys, I have seen what Xylene can do to some rubber compunds. In some cases it did nothing, others it melted or disintegrated the rubber.

Are there any negative aspecs on where you place the nozzle tip, or could i simply place it on the plastic piece over the TB on a turbo 1 or does it need room to mix with air.

at least 6-8 inches from the tb for proper atomization, no the turbo pressure wont over come it unless you go cheap and use a windshield washer pump from a juknyard car, I would recommeend a 100 psi or 150 psi surflo pump, i used a 150 psi one, it is worth the money and a very nice piece.

Be careful not to put it close to your blow off valve. Because when the BOV is activated, it will send alcohol mist into your engine bay.

I've had one setup installed before the throttle body and my current setup directly into the runners. I like directly into the runners better for a number of reasons including the one I mentioned above.

Here's my home made direct port setup. 30 psi on pump gas and alky. Hundreds of 11 and 12 second passes.

I've been running straight water in my system. I have 21psi @ 4000rpms and it drops to about 16psi by 5500 rpms, but if I turn the pump off it will definatly knock at 21psi, with the water on its fine. There about 21* of timing advance @ 16psi as the boost is falling off. I have the wastegate hose unhooked on my car.

My reason for switching to water (as I started with washer solvent) is that the methonal content was making tuning a bit finiky and somewhat inconsistant, and since water doesn't effect fueling any it just makes sense for me. Back to back after retuning fuel without the methanol I cannot FEEL a difference between water and methonal. (Very dangerous trusting the ass-o-meter).
