hey i have a 86 s/c stock besides a diode and mp computer and i was wondering if my windsheild washer pump would work to spray alky.if this would work what else would i need

and could i use a cold start injector with a switch to turn the injector on and hit the oringal windsheild fuild button it would spray and what alky would work best

In order to spray the alcohol, you need more pressure than the boost in the intake. Lets say you have 15psi boost, your pump will need to make 15 pounds plus whatever it takes to spray the alcohol. To try your washer pump out, hook the output to a pressure guage and see what it can do. My guess is that you will need at least 50 PSI for 15PSI boost, 60 for 25PSI boost. Of course, the more pressure the better and make sure it can also deliver pressure while flowing.

Currently I'm using a stock T1 Fuel pump, dropped inside the alcohol canister. It is connected to 4 misting nozzles (from Mcmaster Carr), 1 in each runner. Seems to work OK, I run pump gas and the alcohol and have no problems at 25PSI boost (low compression setup 7.3 to 1).

carl, have you notcied any problems with running water in a fuel pump. I was told in another thread that it might casue the pump to corrode and crap out. I was thinking about using an extra pump i have lieing around
