Hi,

When we go into boost couldn't the fluid get into the Map/AFPR and other vacuum lines? I assume not since that would create problems. Why does it not?

I guess a possible reason it doesnt is because the air in the vaccum lines isnt really moving, the pressure is just changing. also the fluid would have no incentive to take that path, remember it would follow the path of least resistance, which would be into a cylinder during its intake stroke. its a good question though. but your right, obviously it doesnt happen. also, people who run a 5th injector type setup would also experience problems as fuel would get into the map/afpr but i have never heard of this happening

I know one guy who DID have problems with his 5th injector getting fuel in his vac lines. He kept having MAP problems due to it. Problem went away when he went to +40's and got rid of the extra injectors.

i think a reason for that might have been that he had a leak somewhere in the system which caused the air in the lines to flow, and i would say in that situation it would be very possible for fluid to get into them

So what about bleeds on the wastegate line that a lot of people use to raise boost? That would cause "flow" through that line right? Would we have a problem with the water/alky getting into the wastegate can and destroying it?

I can see that a g-valve would not have the same problem and is a much better way to raise boost than a bleed but I am just curious.

I think the water would travel out the bleed into the atmosphere before it reached the can

and the nipple on the can faces down... gee, wonder why mopar did that hehe. With a proper system, I dont see any big issues... I might raise my DIY vac block on my log manifold a bit with a longer nipple when I put on my water injection system, but dont anticipate it...
