I want this kit but Im not sure about the 2 bar or 3 bar map. I have a 1990 Shelby Daytona VNT with a T3, custom fmic running 22psi daily. Would like to see more boost. Im kinda confused as to if I have a 2 bar or a 3 bar. Any help is appreciated. Also, I see that I can add the 2.5 gal container for another $25. Is it safe to mount this into the back hatch of a Daytona? Just seems kinda scary if I got rear ended and methanol went everywhere and a flame suddenly appeared and I caught on fire. What do you guys think?

Thx
Nick

Are these kits for the intercooling features of alky or using it as a fuel alternative?!?!

That would be nice. That way, you could set your injectors for dino as if the motor was somewhat N/A, save for the extra heat built up by the added compression. When the boost hits, the alky could A. raise the BSFC without using any extra dino fuel B. raise the octane level of the fuel and C. cool the intake charge. I wouldn't ride on it for added boost, personally... not to bash the kit. It's a me thing. It'd just be nice to keep things cool and steady... and possibly add fuel efficiency if I was to get a custom cal.

I'm thinking about putting this kit on my 87 GLHS. Would I run into any problems with the MAP sensor being in the passenger kick panel?
Any recommendation from TD owners on which nozzle?
(Ported head, stock turbo, small FMIC, 18-20 psi)
Also, is the washer reservoir large enough?

You can run the wire to the map sensor no matter where it is... if your only gonna run 20 psi i would just get the 3gph nozzle... and yes the Washer Resevoir is big enough just clean it out good so it dont clog the filter up.

this kit Rocks!!!

I'm still waiting for my alky kit. I realy wanted to have installed for Carlisle, but I don't think it's going to happen. Oh well, I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

I've got a 3 bar MAP off a 5.0L mustang. Could I mount this on the firewall and get it to work independently so I wouldn't have to tap into the map on my logic module?

Also, do I need a special fitting to go into the top of the washer reservoir?

tvanlant, are you absolutely sure you have a 3BAR map sensor? The only vehicle I'd ever heard coming factory with one is the Turbo Trans-Am, which is why GM makes the 3bar sensors. I've never ever heard of a Mustang having one, there is no reason it should.

Also what fittings would you need to go into the top of the washer resevoir? Only fitting I installed was and the back/bottom of my resevoir (feed line to the pump), all I did was drill a hole and thread in the fitting (it is only plastic, after all).

Anyway - I just got my Devils Own alky kit yesterday and installed it last night... super slick and very simple to do, took 2.5-3 hours but you could call me a slacker! I noticed a bit of a gain without even touching timing/boost last night. Well see how the car feels with some more boost crammed down its throat. I decided to do the super-stealth install on my car, I really don't care if people see it or not though... but its cool/funny... here's a link to the pics:

Enjoy!
