My dealer can't get the intermediate shaft parts I need. Without the bushing, etc. I can't reuse my intermediate shaft.

Will the intermediate shaft from my 1986 laser fit my 1989 Shelby Daytona? If not, where can I get this part?

Pm turbovanman for info. I gave him the info. He will have to press new bearing in the rubber mount. The rubber HAS to be good..should be about 46mm without the bearing or 48 with the bearing still in. the bearing is NOT cheap. The one I found is for aircraft. And it's not a simple press it in. I'll add a pic of the one I pressed in later today. the new bearing will look the same as original when installed.
Check this thread for pics.

Just go to auto zone and get the unequal length shaft for a regular auto car,it will save a lot of grief and rotating weight plus it wont break as easy.

yeah the 86 doesn't work I have tried it myself.

Just get the axle off a non turbo and it will eliminate that shaft.

what parts are you looking for? I actually just removed that off my car because I broke the bolt holes off the back of the block that hold the carrier bearing

Ok your in ontario... so

iner slinger on bearing mopar part number 5212962 there is 84 in national(canada)depot, just normal order 3-5days

outter slinger for bearing mopar part number 5212975 there are 3 in canada in dealerships, ask your local dealer to D2D it( get from another dealer, some shipping charges will apply)

bearing seal mopar part 5212964 in national depot 3-5 days

bearing is no longer available from mopar, and none in any North american dealers, but I believe it is available through aftermarket

the braket/brace the bearing attaches to, is used only, non available through mopar

the u-joint is aftermarket, and the 2 parts of the shaft are discontinued, so used only.

if you need I can probably find the Napa part numbers as well.
let me know exactly what you need...and I can at least get you part numbers
