I got a 523 out of a 91 spirit can i use a SRT-4 short throw shifter and cabels?

The A568 is similar to the A523 but with harden parts and different FD.

you can use the neon short shifter. the housing for the neon and 523 shifters is the same. you can NOT use the neon shift cables. the selector cable is way too long and the cable ends are too large to go thru the shift cable bracket on the trans. someone else posted on here that the cables are the same . i got a complete shifter assembly with cables out of a neon when i was swapping from a
a520 to an a523 in my lebaron. the shifter bolted up perfectly the cables were wrong as described above.

I thinks its kinda suprising 15+ yrs later and mopar was still using the same basic shifter setup. with everything being pretty much a bolt on and swap out arrangement. too bad more isnt like that
