1990 daytona es 2.5 turbo

okay ya'll! its time to name that sound! test your auditorichanical abilities!

unknown condition of front struts (original for all I know)

front sway bar mounts are ancient and cracked

recently i've noticed a squeaking noise:

-its coming from the drivers side front wheel
-its a ROTATIONAL noise, squeak squeak squeak squeak
-it increases with vehicle speed
-its not always there
-if its not there and i am driving straight, and then turn the wheel to the right slightly, it appears. but only if i turn it right, if i turn it left it doesnt appear.
-it appears over very bumpy roads at low speeds
-it appears if i turn right even very slightly at even very low speeds (<10mph)
-sounds JUST like noisy disc brakes, except it doesnt happen when i press the brakes.

so...wheel bearing? strut mount? cv joint?

Please help!

First guess: left frt. caliper hanging up slightly on guide pins; touching brake centers caliper stopping noise.
Second guess: left frt. hub/wheel bearing; remove tire, caliper, & rotor- loosen axle nut and check hub for any play as axle is what holds hub and bearing assy. together. That's why you shouldn't move or store a fwd car with weight on tires and no axles installed. The bearing can become loose or separate.
Also, when you turn right it loads the left hub, and vice-versa.

thanks..i think your second guess is right..let me clarify, i'm actually not sure if it happens or not when i press the brakes, but im sure it happens whether or not i am pressing the brakes

i thought wheel bearing failures sounded like grinding?

what about something in the suspension?

When hub bearings start to go bad they chirp, or squeek but that's hardly ever noticed. Later, it's a dull roar. They don't grind until they're almost ready to fail. Then they wobble, being held together only by the axle. Then tire blows and car gets fixed or junked.
Could be in left CV joints.
Upper strut bearing/retainer would make noise turning steering lock to lock while car not moving. Lower ball joint could squeek if dry.
