amen to that, what I have done is place a 2x4 across the fenders and place a winch to pull the transaxle up. Also make some guide pins with some bolts and screw them into the top 2 holes. To make the pins cut the heads off 2 bolts, cut a slot on the tops so you can screw them in and out and grind the threads to dull them where the tranny is going to slide so it does not cut into the soft AL case and make it bind.

Don't give up.

Whenever I get to point where I just want to quit, I think about the guy who swam the English channel. He made to about 50 feet from France, but he was so tired that he turned around and swam back.

i'm pretty sure my clutch disc isn't in backwards.it also wouldn't prevent the motor from being turned over. the trans went in smooth and was not forced in. i think maybe either the pressure plate maybe too big for the bell housing or a bolt or some shit fell and is stuck between the bell housing and flywheel or pressure plate.

i wouldn't swim across the english channel in the first place. i would use a boat to get across.

Yes, but if that boat had a bad tranny, you might have to swim

i think i just found the problem. the long waterpump bolt was too long. and i think it smacked the crank. i did a nipo alternator swap and on cordes' website it says to use the long water pump bolt. yea right. stick with the short one for future reference. it's still making the noise but it spins freely now. wow just my ****ing luck. i think i'm gonna set the ****ing thing on fire in a field now. put it out of its misery.

i have 2 other engines. one is a stock 2.2 shortblock 11/87 is the date on it block number is 4343834-6 i couldn't find the application anywhere. anyone know what it is? and the other is a 2.5 that looks pretty clean but needs rods pistons and all that shit. i might just swap the 2.2 in there. **** rebuilding the stock t1 engine in the omni. i might make a door stop out of it. or a wheel chuck.
