The car is a 1990 Sprit ES with 3.0 and overdrive trans. Car has power everything and the place I bought it from replaced the motor and trans a while ago with a driveline out of a 92 Spirit.

OKay I bought the 90 Spirit and the day after the trans was poping in and out of overdrive. So I took it back and they adjusted some sensor. Well that worked for about a month until I went to go up my girlfriends driveway and the car acted like it was not in gear. Well I got it up and when i went to back it up, same thing none of the gears worked. I turned off the engine and restarted the car and ran it through the gears they worked about six times then nothing no gears at all. So I got it to work again and it did that five times in the mile to drive to my house. Well the place i got it from took it again and said they needed to replace the torqe-converter, seals, and clutch plate. Well that took two and a half weeks. Got the car back Friday evening. Car shifted great ran fine until this morning when I left from work it began shifting late and poping in and out of 4th or overdrive again. I am so frustrated because I still owe a little on the car and it was as-is and I dont have my duster finished yet. What could cause this? I am thinking electricial? Please help me with this I am getting ever so close to saying the hell with "MOPAR" after 20 years of layalty and going GM or Ford.

I really need some help on this!

And the car also now has a harsh shift into 3rd and harsh downshift from 2nd to 1st.

I do have an extra one of these trannys that came out of my 94 Duster but that gets stuck into 2nd gear untill you thur it off and restart it. God Damn A-604's

P.S. Does anyone have a P-Body K-member for a manual tranny for sale near Toledo, Ohio I need to finish this canversion up in my Duster so I can have reliable transportation soon.

adjusting a sensor, that's to freaking funny since there's no sensor to adjust. i went to buy a minivan that the guy said it needed a vacuum line. I laughed and told him there's no such thing on any chrysler trans. then i proceeded to pull out my drb3 and pulled up data, codes and cvi's and sure enough trans was bad. the guy still tried some more bull about he had a sensor replaced about a month ago and that fixed it. he would face facts that i knew what i was talking about. so i didn't buy the van. our story sounds about as hokie. the shop has no clue what so ever about ur prob cuz a torque converter would never do what you say. u need someone that actually knows how to fix the trans right. if u were closer, id rebuild ur trans for $300 with new torque.
