i have an 86 daytona T1 manual with a a525, on the bottom end of all my gears on acceleration i hear quite a bit of gear noise. once i reach a crusing speed i no longer hear the sound. so i dont think it is an input shaft bearing, any ideas or do these transmissions have normal gear noise. i can hardly hear the noise inside the car but when i roll the window down i can hear it quite well if it is quiet.

yes i checked my fluid, when i replaced one of my cv boots it all leaked out, it looked like automatic trans fluid but i replaced it with manual transaxle fluid (it was noisy before as well) i am going to drain it and put in the proper 5w30 and see what happens.
