I have a 89 shadow and it has the 568 in it and I was wondering if I could take the axles in it and put straight into the l-body?

No! Axles from minivans and l-bodies are unique. You will need a pair of axles from a 1989 Auto Omni. These will have the proper length and proper splines. Don't forget that you'll need to convert the omni to cable shift and make a new bobble-strut mount.
