555? How to tell

I have an 89 Shadow with a stick. I was told that it was a 555, how can I tell for sure? I've heard that reverse is up and to the left of 1st gear, but I've also heard that some others have reverse in the same spot. Any input is welcome.

there should be a lil' tag on the tranny under the air box. it will say A555 if it is.

if it's in a shadow it's a 520 no shadow came factory with a 555

Thanks for the info. I found the tag on the trans. and you guys are right it is a 520.
