I have a 1985 Dodge GLHT that has the A525 manual tranny, and i believe it is going out. When I put it into 5th it grinds, and now it is leaking tranny fluid.

I want to replace it, but I don't know what to look for on a used tranny or how easy it would be to replace.

Also, If I replace it, what kind of tranny will fit in the car?

I want to get a different tranny that is a little more rugged than the original, but at the same time I want to retain the original performance.

HELP!!!
