Won't go into gear

Today I was just backing up to pull into a parking spot and then the tranny popped out of gear (525) and I can't get it to go into any gear when the car is running. Did I do something to the clutch. The tranny has been fine lately. I can move the shifter freely when the car is off but when I turn it on its impossible. Is it time for a new clutch?

Does the clutch still work?

Could be the clutch cable broke or stretched.

Well, Picked it up yesterday and I drove it around and the clutch is not there anymore, the peddle froze. So now I am assuming I killed something in there.
