Just tore down my 300-400 mile 413, local rebuilt torque convertor failure. Everything in trans is top notch, rearward thrust bearing (at splines) is GONE and covertor rattles like hell.
Short of a $900 FM unit what are some suggestions on a sub $500 convertor? I recal a lot of people saying dealer remans are actualy decent?

Russ,
You interested in a slightly higher stall unit like in my Shadow for alot less? I'm pushing around 2908 lbs of Shadow. I had NAN Convertors custom build three of them for me. My friend Evan is putting one in his Shelby Charger and I still got 1 left in a box.

If you are happy so far at your level of abuse I am game.
Roller bearings I am assuming? Shoot me a line on cost.
My convertor was a 87 turbo unit, new thrust washers but
a basic rebuild I am guessing. Should have been a 3200 stall and I am not afraid of more stall as I am changing gears while apart.
