shifting problems

hi....i own an 89 dodge daytona shelby...while i'm in the midst of changing the shifter cable i am using my mom's 95 mistsu galant. i know its not a dodge or anything but i know you guys can probably help me anyways.

after long trips i notice when i go to down shift to fourth say when i'm gettin off an exit...it wont go in unless i play around with it..then it'll have trouble gettin into third...etc. then starting off is tough. last time this happened it only did that right when i got off the highway and then it was fine. today it did it when i got to where i was going...then the whole time i was there i couldnt get it into first easily...and then some of the other gears were givin me problems...what does this sound like? thanks
