Finally got my 91 GTC together and been driving it for the last 2 weeks or so, and ****.. this things shifts soooo smooth I can't even imagine driving any of my other TD's. Very little shifting effort, and nice notchy feel when it slips into gear. Hopped back in my dad's 89 Supra to move it the other day and couldn't tell what the hell gear I was in..
Anyway the GTC has the stock 91 A568, bugger polyurethane shift bushings and a modified MP short throw for the 95-99 Neons.
Basically just toss the base plate that comes with the MP Neon unit, and modify a stock older TD shifter base plate to fit the MP shifter mechanism.
Not cheap at ~$200 discounted, but IMHO well worth it.
