Has anyone here ever swapped from Equal to unequal length shafts? I've heard of people wanting to ditch the intermediate shaft setup (I have to admit it's been a pain in the ass), and once they've switched, there wasn't much of a difference in torque steer (a few people said torque steer actually went DOWN, but I'm kinda skeptical...)

Any experience?

I'd have too agree with the less torque steer it worked on my Dad's Turbo Z and it's gonna work on my Shelby Z as soon as I stick a motor in it again

I've driven a few cars that had unequal length and haven't noticed a problem, I was also told that a U-joint doesn't transfer as much torque as a cv joint so by adding another joint to one side would create more torque steer.
Plus i hate it when I strip the splines in the half shaft

THIS JUST IN

I have unequal in my car now and it dont have much torque steer.. im going to switch over to equal length though just because my passenger side axle is seperating a little (engine is centered and the whole front mount is welded to the frame) without Garys RP severe duty axles... im a lil too worried about snapping the long passenger side... and also its too hard to find a full length pass side axle to fit a 555.. when i do find them they are $$ compared to the $60 regular axle.. just makes life a lil easier.

just use the one for the auto it works just fine with my 555 and i believe it transfers power more evenly the driveshaft shop says only 85 percent of torque is transfered through a u joint check out there axles and read the post driveshaft shop.com
