I want to try the GM Synchromesh, but that stuff is expen$ive. My brother uses it in his Olds Cutlass (Getrag 282 5spd) and there is a guy here in town that uses it in his Ford Taurus SHO. They both like it a lot.
The only time I have problems shifting the A555 in my Lancer is the 1-2 shift. If I wait too long and don't short shift into 2nd, it's really hard to go into gear. It seems like I really have to plant my foot all the way down on the clutch. It's like it engages to far down.....Maybe synth is not to blame?? Wrong clutch cable or worn synchros?
