.. in the 525 transmission, is there anything else I should have them do while its apart? Anything I can add to make it stronger? Thanks for any advice..

Replace it with a 520 or greater . You can either get a chromolly end plate or put 2 stock endplates, I've heard. Also, the tranny girdle to strengthen the case. I'd say main concern is the diff pin coming out which just happened to me.
