I have a very nicely done up Lebaron vert but with only one drawback... the clutch is a t2/t3 setup and it slips around 15psi and the car is very capable of running 25psi. with that said what clutch and PP should I look at getting, mind you I may go to the strip twice this year in this car but I would love to run around with 20psi daily and turn it up alittle more for the track or not but still beable to run at least 20psi without my clutch slipping. car weight is around 3800lbs with me and everything.

Mostly street driven like 5k a year and possibly a couple passes at the drags, with $800 budget.

Agreed! I ran the RevLok clutch disc and an R/T pressure plate for 4 seasons with 30-33psi/6700rpm clutch drops at the track with ZERO slippage.

I have a brand new small spline RP 4 puck disk and a T-III pressure plate that was slated to go in my GLHS, but the car was sold before it went back together.

I have the same set up in my R/T which after it was broken in has taken that pig to 1.7 short times.

Drop me a PM if you're interested.

ACT also makes some great clutches for our cars. Just avoid Centerforce like the plague.

I am looking for gray interior trim for a J-body (1987-1989) LeBaron coupe hardtop. If you have anything please PM me before throwing it out. I am also selling tan trim if you're interested.

What is "Centerforce" and why dont we want it? I bought a "MP" clutch off someone here, looks really cheap, I thought. I dont know how it would hold up. Its actual pad is not as wide as the stocker and it just looks cheesy, but then again I dont know much about clutches. I talked to someone and he said its mostly all about how much force the pp applies to the clutch disk. Im sure the quality of the disk applies thow. I believe its from a guy that sells the online, his username is like, memomotors or something, anyone buy a clutch from him??

Centerforce is a manufacture of clutches. They aren't even better than the stock clutches. I bought one and it was great for the first two weeks, but after that it got very soft and it would slip after I installed a 3" exhaust. I was not satisfied with it at all. That is why I would avoid Centerforce clutches.

Centerforce is a lesson in avoiding brand loyalty. For our cars, they are selling you a stock clutch made by a random aftermarket manufacturer, painted to their specifications. You are better off with a stock Mopar clutch.

heres the thing it did have a 4 puck in it but it ate through the flywheel so thats why its a t2/t3 setup right now, If I got a 4puck should I be worrying about this as well (I won't be doing as much city driving as the previous owner but ya never know)
