im starting to wonder if i have a posi in my tona. i read and hear alot of people spinning the right front tire. i know the tranny was rebuilt a few thousand before i bought it, but thats it. every time i burn them off(45-5000 rpm drop) i seem to get a dual patch laid.??? is this normal or POSI?? just curious to other peoples examples. dont know much about the car before i bought it, other than s-60 bolt ons.

thanks guys

adam

Most open diff cars, if balanced well and making decent power will spin both tires. So it doesn't always mean you have a posi/limited-slip. Jack the front end up so the tires are off the ground, spin one wheel and if the other wheel spins in the same direction, it has some sort of limited slip device, if it spins in the opposite direction its open.

My car spins both and it's almost all stock, no engine mods done. I did shim the sway bar which seemed to help a lot.
