A555 parts???

I have a A555 that needs to be rebuilt. From looking at the trans I think I am going to need a new 2nd gear, it has some wear where the synchronizer engauges ( the teeth are a little rounded compared to the other gears). The trans was built in late 87 so the gears are no longer availiable from the delear. Does anyone know where i can get one or if I can use a gear from another trans model.

Unfortunately, you can't get the early A555 gearset parts anymore. You'd have to upgrade the entire mainshaft assembly to 1989 specs, which uses the A568 1st and 2nd gear assemblies.
