i have a 92 cvan with an a413 it has been rebuilt 4 months ago.now when i go from p to rev it takes about 5 sec to engage then slams into gear.the idle is right and the motor mounts are new and tight.it shifts and drives fine.any thoughts.

How is the fluid level. Have you had the bands checked and adjusted as necessary? Thats where I would start.

i was thinking that the l/rev band may be inproperly adjusted because the lr band and the overunning clitch is the only thing that is applied in rev and all forward gears are fine.
