I know the basics on this one but I wanted to get things straight before
tearing this puppy apart.

1. motor and tranny..something must be grinded to make fit...
2. clutch arm spline..don't remember
3. change shifter and cables
4. Axles work in both trannies

Am I forgetting something?

1) The trans has an extra bulge on the back-side that interferes with the bracket. You need to grind the bracket a bit.

2) The 523/568 clutch arm shaft is keyed such that the arm is rotated one notch clockwise (the arm sits lower when the clutch is released). You can either swap to a new clutch cable or grind one of the splines off the shaft on the tranny.

3) Yes. I'm assuming G-body. Not sure how the new shifter will look in the older console, but you can probably get to boot to cover the shaft up.

4) Yes.

5) You need a big-spine clutch disc if it is a '91 or later tranny.
