It bolts to the back of the diff cover and the trans to a "tab" on the trans housing. The next thing you'll run into is the bracket that is on the K member will not line up (it's off by about an inch) with the bobble strut (err.. shock). Some folks just lay the strut up along side the bracket and run a long bolt (spacer needed where old strut went) and bolt it up. On my son's Omni we welded in a new piece (bolt will be in a double shear like originally, less strain on the bracket). The long bolt idea has worked for others (do a search for thier results)

Hope that helps.....

Yeah, I was going to suggest the washers to help sure everything up under there. Seems like a good idea.

Here is a pic of bracket (modified for rod shifter) but shows how it attaches to the cover and trans, you'll get the idea.

My other comment was make sure you put something (spacer, washers, etc...) back in between the original barcket (on the K member) to replace where the strut originally mounted. Your new bolt should be long enough to go through both tabs of the orig mount bracket and your offset shock/strut together. If you only use one side of the bracket the engine movement will make short work of the bracket due to the "leverage" it now has (unless you only make "Honduh" horsepower level ).

And another "MOPAR to Ya!"

(Pics came from another TD member, sorry for any "mis-use")

Here is a thread showing what I did on my Omni:

K-frame bobble strut bracket (Omni transaxle conversion)

I still have the A525 in the car, but I have an A568 for it next time I pull the drivetrain for any reason.

awesome thanks for the pic, its a bit washed out and im a bit slow so let me make sure what i am seeing is correct.. im sure ill figure it out when i get home and can look at it but ive already had so many delays on this im trying to cover all my bases, i *really* want to be able to drive the thing tonight.. is that the bracket attached to the s/d sensor housing? it looks like the housing is not attached to the tranny in that pic. i didnt see anywhere for it to bolt to that housing when i checked it out the other day, its still off the tranny and out of the car right now.. is it just using existing bolts in the housing or am i way off base?

im at work right now so i cant go look at it. fedex shows that it was delievered to my house an hour ago so tonight is the night hopefully.. 2100 for the car and transmission, 600 more in parts, ive had it for a month and only gotten to drive it for a day.. i am so ready for it to work.. there is a long list of dsms i want to start picking on

The diff cover goes all the way to the speed sensor/extension housing. The two bolts you see on the left actually (if memory serves me) go thru and clamp the diff/axle bearing in that area. You can take the speed sensor housing off and not disturb the bracket (again, I'm old and I could be confused ) It can only go on one way and I'm sure once you see the bracket and the trans/diff cover it will be obvious.
