I'v got an 88 mini with a minor cv shaft problem.

i'v placed two new shafts on the driver's side and after 2 weeks, the shaft goes out again. have purchased new shafts and boots and packed them with grease well, after about 2 weeks the shaft starts klunking again. have had it checked at a repair shop, and says shaft is bad, both times. No other problems were found, ball joints, tie rods ect ect ect are all good.

canter and alignment are right on perfect. all 4 tires are new. i'm drawling a blank here. I don't know what's going on with this van. any advise would be greatly appreciated.

i've heard that you can only repair and recondition a cv shaft within a very short amount of time after they are damaged.

Is your engine centered correctly, so that both the axles are EXACTLY the same length? Easy to verify.
