It's a 15 minute job to pull the front steering knuckles. The bearings are pressed in, you can't just remove them. Need some front knuckles with good bearings? I have several in my shed.. I'll even help ya install them if you'd like.

They make a tool set called the Hub Shark. I think thats the tool youre looking for. It'd be cheaper to just take off the knuckles, have a shop press in new ones and have an alignment done. Like prob $300 cheaper.

'87 Shelby Z, would going to the boneyard and pulling off a few hubs be easier than trying to do what I am doing?
With the hub removed, can I just pound put the bearing(s) and use a vice or something to get it all back together. I bough just the bearings from schucks...

No, you cannot just pound them out. Yes, if you want to keep the car on the road, you should either go to a junkyard and get some used knuckles, or contact me, and I'll give you a pair of them. Then you can install the bearings into the new knuckles. If you do go to a junkyard to get knuckles, don't go to any in Kitsap County, they'll rip you off. Probably $45 or more each.. Go to Pull-A-Part in Lakewood.. Bit more of a drive, but you'll get them for $17 each instead.. And you can get them off most any turbo Dodge from '86 to '89.. Lebaron, Shadow/Sundance, Lancer.. Anything except Charger/Omni..
You will need an alignment when you're done. ($45 at Les Schwab)

Where are you located? Can we meet up somewhere for the hubs? How much do you want for them?

What about the rear bearings? Are they too, just as much of a pain in the arse?

Rear bearings are a breeze, simple to do at home.
And I'm in the autocenter in Bremerton.. I work there, and I live a couple blocks away from it. Yeah, no problem meeting up sometime. email me, unaclocker@gmail.com

check with your auto parts store, they may rent you a hub shark tool.
otherwise, it's best to pull them. just make sure you scribe a mark on the cam bolt and strut body so you can set the camber close to where it was

upgrade to 89 big brakes, then the bearings bolt in and out. Don't even have to remove the CV axle.

I went through that the other day. I bought the hub kit, swung out the knuckle to save the alignment, air chiseled out the old berring ( carefuly not to gouge anything ), got a thick piece of threaded rod with a nut and plate at either end to suck the hub in and walla. (easier with two people and a hella big bar to swing the arm down from the knucle)

Now Im having issues pulling the hub off, the chiltons shows 4 bolts to unbolt the hub from the knuckle, I have removed everything and there are not any bolts holding the hub to the knuckle, do I have something weird? Did the Shelby Zs recieve a weird brake/hub area assy?

You can't pull the hub off, it's pressed in. It's essentially part of the knuckle..
