What kind of hitch did you put on? Mines lowered 2 1/2 inches and the hitch has never hit the ground, even towing my 2000lb 12x7 enclosed trailer. You might have to buy a raised hitch bar to even out the load, mines 5 inchs high if i remember correctly.

even the lowest uhaul or reese hitch has never been an issue in the 100+ caravan's I've owned. are you sure YOU installed it correctly?

maybe he's talking about rear end sag w/ the load on. annoys me w/ all my cars and trailer towing. mopar stopped making their G body rally springs that raise the car 1" and give a firm ride. i wanted a pair for the back of my k wagon....arghh. on a c'van its an easy job to just use a pair of add a leafs from jcwhitney or whatever. that's how i'd do it.

i put a reese hitch on and it seams pretty low to me but then again i might just be paronoid. the hitch does however bottom out on parking curbs if that helps. how much room should be between the bottom of the hitch and the ground ??

Have you tried different shocks, i am using the Rancho 9spd shocks, but only on setting 3 for daily use and setting 5 for towing. My hitch is aprox 4-5 inchs from the ground, and remember, mines lowered.

No, but if he's bottoming out over speed bumps, that tells me his shocks are shot.
